Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Assess creditworthiness of schools applying for loans by analyzing financial statements, operational performance, and repayment capacity.
Conduct due diligence, including background checks and site visits, to validate information provided by applicants.
Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports and recommend approval/rejection within defined authority limits.
Monitor existing school loan portfolio for early warning signals and ensure timely intervention to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with sales and collection teams to ensure smooth loan disbursement and recovery processes.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, RBI guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain MIS reports and provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.
Knowledge of credit risk management principles and regulatory norms.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and credit scoring tools.

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
36 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in education loans or SME lending.
Familiarity with school operations and financial structures will be an added advantage.
