As a Credit Manager reporting to the Area Credit Manager, your role will involve assessing Educational Loan applications from students and underwriting them in accordance with the credit policy. **Responsibilities:** - Maintain Credit Quality as desired by the Senior Management - Manage respective vendors for maintaining quality and TAT for all verifications and validation - Monitor and conduct consistent sample checks on verifications and vendor processes - Meet loan borrowers and applicants for personal interaction based on the risk profile of cases - Preliminary screening of borrowers" profiles for maintaining the input quality of the credit system - Perform first-level document checks for fraud prevention, data correction, and information completeness - Manage Delinquency ratios - Vendor Management - Apply knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and awareness of related risks - Contribute to the development of new techniques, improvement of processes, and workflows by applying in-depth knowledge - Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance - Implement risk management tools, Initiate process Improvement and Impart training - Adhere to credit decisioning parameters as per Credit Policy on loan proposals - Initiate and Implement process improvements for better customer experience while maintaining the organization's risk appetite - Provide structured training to internal teams and business associates regularly - Collaborate with business teams to ensure timely delivery and controlled quality - Fraud Risk: - Conduct risk analysis - Analyze the local market and update the central team on fraudulent colleges, negative areas, and profiles - Relationship Management, Customer Service, and Team Management: - Deliver excellent service on business processes - Manage interdepartmental relationships effectively - Focus on customer-oriented process improvement - Demonstrate team player capabilities, self-motivation, good people management skills, and excellent motivation - Personal Discussions (PD) with all Customers and Co-Borrowers: - Conduct in-person PDs with customers and/or co-borrowers as needed - Conduct telephonic discussions with all other customers and co-borrowers - Record Credit commentary in detail along with rationale for recommendations/decisions **Skills:** - Ability to read Balance Sheets and Financial Statements - Credit Appraisal and Underwriting - Good communication skills - Teamwork - Analytical skills - Self-Motivated **Qualifications and Experience:** - Graduate in any field; MBA in Finance or Professional Degree of Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred - 3-5 years of related Credit Underwriting experience in a Bank or NBFC *Note: Job Location - Chandigarh*,
