Corporate Legal Counsel

The Corporate Legal Counsel at SugarFit is responsible for managing the entire legal spectrum of the company, focusing on business-centric legal solutions, regulatory compliance within the healthcare industry, and risk mitigation. This role involves a mix of proactive risk management and responsive legal action.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management:

  Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, agreements, terms & conditions, and privacy policies to protect the company's interests.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Ensuring all operations comply with local, national, and international legislation, especially those pertaining to the healthcare industry, data protection, and the use of medical devices (like CGM sensors).

• Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

  Managing disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters (including arbitration), and developing effective strategies to resolve legal issues. This may involve coordinating with external lawyers or counsels.

• Legal Advice and Strategy:

  Providing expert, strategic legal guidance and advice to management and various departments on the legal implications of business decisions, transactions, and activities.

• Intellectual Property (IP) Management:

  Handling intellectual property matters, which likely includes trademark and patent registrations given SugarFit's use of proprietary technology and machine learning in its health platform.

• Corporate Governance:

  Ensuring the organization follows sound corporate governance practices.

• Policy Development:

  Reviewing and enhancing internal policies and procedures to align with legal and regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis.

• Risk Management:

  Identifying potential legal risks, assessing them, and implementing mitigation measures and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience:
