Compliance Manager

Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring internal policies and procedures to ensure the hotel operates in strict adherence to all local, state, and federal laws, industry regulations, and brand standards across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Adherence:

  Monitor changes in

  local laws, labor codes, environmental regulations, and health/safety (HACCP)

  standards impacting hotel operations.

• Policy Implementation:

  Develop, update, and disseminate clear, concise compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across departments (e.g., HR, F&B, Finance).

• Auditing & Reporting:

  Conduct routine internal

  audits and inspections

  to identify areas of non-compliance, documenting findings and tracking corrective actions.

• Risk Management:

  Work with department heads and the General Manager to assess and mitigate operational and regulatory risks, particularly those related to

  data privacy (GDPR/PII)

  and guest safety.

• Training:

  Design and deliver mandatory

  compliance training

  programs for all employees, ensuring staff are fully aware of legal obligations and ethical standards.

• Documentation:

  Maintain meticulous records of all compliance efforts, certifications, licenses, inspection reports, and training logs.

• Liaison:

  Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies, legal counsel, and internal auditors.
