The Head of Labor Compliance will be responsible for leading the
overall compliance delivery strategy for our clients, ensuring adherence to all central and state labor laws. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep subject matter expertise, exceptional client management capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing risk, audits, and inspections. The ideal candidate will have strong team leadership skills, a consultative mindset, and a proven track record in managing labour compliance across multiple sectors and geographies.
• Serve as a point of escalation for client audits, inspections, show-cause notices, and labour court cases.
• Maintain professional relationships with labour authorities and government bodies to stay ahead of regulatory changes and foster smooth compliance execution.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage legal and reputational risks for client operations.
• Stay updated on all changes in labour legislation and ensure clients are informed and advised accordingly.
• Design and review compliance MIS and dashboards for internal governance and client reporting.
• Advise clients on labour compliance policies, internal audits, and remediation plans.
• Review and interpret complex legislation, providing practical guidance and legal opinions where required.
• 1820 years of experience in labour compliance, consulting, preferably in a client-servicing setup.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale client portfolios across multiple states.
• Strong exposure to handling audits, inspections, contractor compliance, and statutory filings.
• Hands-on experience in managing regulatory escalations, litigation, and dispute resolution related to labour laws.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Labour Laws, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in labour law or compliance management (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and applicable state-level statutes.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage expectations and deliver results under pressure.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills – both written and verbal. • Proficiency in compliance management tools, MS Excel, and dashboards.
