Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Commis to join our team at Taj City Centre, with 2-5 years of experience in the culinary industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chinese cuisine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibility

Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and preparing menus for special events and functions.
Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in food preparation and service.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Develop new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in inventory management and stock control.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Commis in a professional kitchen setup, preferably in Chinese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to maintain high levels of attention to detail and quality control.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a dynamic environment.
