Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals as directed by the head chef or sous chef.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are prepared and ready for cooking before service begins.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the highest quality of food production.
  • Participate in menu planning and development by providing input and suggestions.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new kitchen staff as needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Understanding of food preparation methods, including grilling, roasting, and baking.
