Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Commis to join our team at Taj City Centre, with 2-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery operations and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibility

Assist the Bakery Chef in planning and preparing high-quality bread and pastries.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Prepare and cook a variety of bread doughs, including sourdough and artisan bread.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Commis in a bakery or pastry shop.
Strong knowledge of dough preparation, baking techniques, and equipment operation.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
