Role Overview

Co-Founder

Key Responsibilities

1. Recommerce Sourcing & Partnerships

• Source excess, liquidation, refurbished, and used inventory from OEMs, corporates, PGs/hostels, builders, and retailers.
• Build long-term supply pipelines with refurbishers, liquidation houses, and warehouse surplus owners.
• Actively negotiate bulk purchase deals and B2B procurement contracts.

2. Refurbishment & Quality Operations

• Set up, manage, and optimise refurbishment workflows (repairing, QC, repainting, grading).
• Define quality benchmarks: Open Box, Grade A/B, Renewed, Refurbished.
• Manage a network of carpenters, technicians, painters, electricians, and repair partners.

3. Inventory, Logistics & Warehouse Management

• Oversee warehouse setup, inbound/outbound processes, and stock movement.
• Create SOPs for cataloging, pricing, SKUs, and lifecycle management.
• Streamline logistics across pickups, refurb centers, and final delivery.

4. Sales, GTM & Channel Expansion

• Lead recommerce sales via website, marketplaces, offline dealers, and B2B bulk buyers.
• Build pricing models for refurbished/used/rental categories.
• Position “Refurbished by Voorent” as a trust-based brand.

5. Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Work with the founding team to prepare pitch decks, financial models, and projections.
• Connect with angels, micro-VCs, sustainability funds, and impact investors.
• Drive fundraising conversations, follow-ups, due diligence prep, and investor storytelling.
• Represent Voorent as a co-founder in fundraising meetings and events.
• Develop a clear vision and roadmap to attract early-stage capital.

6. Business Strategy & Scale-Up

• Co-own overall company strategy, planning, and execution.
• Build division-level P&L and work towards break-even and profitability.
• Lead hiring and team building once the business scales.
• Take founder-level ownership, speed, and problem-solving approach.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in

  refurbished goods, recommerce, furniture/appliances, warehousing, supply chain, or circular economy

  is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, operational, and business development skills.
• Comfortable being hands-on in early stages.
• Clear understanding of startup fundraising preferred (not mandatory).
• Founder mindset with high ownership and resilience.
