Job Description

Position Overview

The Cloud Hosting Sales / Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through acquiring new clients, building strategic partnerships, and promoting cloud hosting, managed services, and related IT infrastructure solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to generate and close enterprise-level leads.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for cloud hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, managed cloud, and related services.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Conduct product demos and present cloud solutions to prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs, CIOs, IT Heads, Founders).
  • Understand customer requirements and provide customized cloud hosting solutions.
  • Ensure smooth handover of new clients to the technical/operations team.

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Research and map potential markets, industry verticals, and competitor offerings.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and webinars to generate leads.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with resellers, agencies, and technology partners.

Technical & Product Understanding

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, hosting technologies, cybersecurity basics, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate solution design and proposals.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain updated sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM entries.
  • Prepare proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and business presentations.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
  • 26 years of experience in cloud hosting, SaaS, IT infrastructure, or technology sales.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, data centers, and hosting services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in B2B/enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience selling IaaS, PaaS, or managed cloud services.
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts, cybersecurity solutions, and digital transformation trends.
  • Existing network of IT decision-makers or channel partners.
