About the Company:

Our client is a high-growth, publicly listed retail leader in India that is rapidly expanding and reshaping the market.


The Role:

We're looking for an accomplished and results-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to take the helm of our extensive retail operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of large-scale retail management, skilled in driving efficiency and growth. This role is crucial for translating our company's high-level vision into effective, on-the-ground store strategies, with a relentless focus on profitability, customer loyalty, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:

    Lead the end-to-end management of our store fleet, ensuring all operational facets, from staffing to inventory, are optimized for peak performance. Your main goal is to drive sales growth, improve productivity, and enhance profitability across all locations.
  • Talent & Culture Development:

    Cultivate a vibrant, performance-oriented culture throughout the organization. You'll be responsible for building a strong leadership team and implementing training and development programs that empower our staff and prepare them for future expansion.
  • Process & Performance Optimization:

    Architect and implement streamlined operational processes and merchandising standards. You'll introduce performance monitoring tools, such as data dashboards, to provide real-time insights into key metrics, enabling proactive adjustments to drive sales and control costs.
  • Growth & Innovation:

    Spearhead our strategic expansion initiatives, including the successful launch of new stores. You'll develop innovative approaches to improve customer service and elevate the in-store experience, drawing in a wider audience and solidifying our market position.
  • Strategic Planning:

    Formulate and execute competitive strategies tailored to specific markets. This includes identifying opportunities to strengthen the performance of stores in highly competitive areas and ensuring our operational blueprint aligns with long-term company goals.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership capacity within the retail sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large network of retail locations successfully.
  • Expertise in P&L management, operational efficiency, and performance-based team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with a track record of using data to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
