Job Description

Experience Required: 20+ years Location: Chennai Department: Finance & Strategy Reports To: CEO / Board of Directors Role Summary: We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance function and drive strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial leadership, risk management, and stakeholder communication, with a proven track record of steering organizations toward sustained profitability and growth. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Drive the companys financial strategy, planning, and forecasting. - Partner with the CEO and executive team on long-term business planning and capital allocation. - Contribute to strategic decision-making at the board level. Financial Planning & Analysis: - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. - Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights. Treasury & Risk Management: - Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships. - Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. - Ensure optimal capital structure and funding strategy. Compliance & Governance: - Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP). - Oversee internal controls and risk management frameworks. - Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and investors. Team & Process Leadership: - Build and mentor a high-performing finance team. - Drive automation and digital transformation across finance functions. - Enhance financial systems and processes for scalability and efficiency. Required Qualifications & Skills: - CA / CPA / MBA Finance or equivalent advanced degree. - Minimum of 20 years of experience in progressive financial leadership roles. - Strong understanding of corporate finance, investor relations, taxation, and compliance. - Experience in leading IPOs, M&A, and capital raising (preferred). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Traits: - Strategic thinker with an eye for detail. - Hands-on leader with strong execution capabilities. - High ethical standards and integrity. - Proven track record in working with promoters, boards, and investors.
