Role Overview:

The Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) will lead the company’s business growth, event onboarding, and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for acquiring event organizers, building long-term alliances, and expanding the platform’s ecosystem through structured outreach and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead event onboarding and partner acquisition across regions

• Identify and onboard event organizers, communities, institutions, and enterprises

• Build and manage strategic partnerships and alliances

• Design and execute business development strategies for platform growth

• Own partner lifecycle management (onboarding → engagement → retention)

• Collaborate with founders to align partnerships with company vision

• Represent the company in meetings, networking events, and negotiations

• Define and track KPIs, growth metrics, and partnership outcomes

• Support revenue enablement through partnerships (where applicable)

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience in business development, partnerships, or alliances

• Exposure to event management, community building, or platform onboarding

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Ability to operate in an early-stage startup environment

• Self-driven, execution-focused, and outcome-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing network of event organizers or ecosystem partners

• Experience working with startups, platforms, or marketplaces

• Proven ability to scale partnerships from zero to traction
