Business Development Executive – Education / EdTech

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive growth in the education and EdTech sector. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about school partnerships, K-12 education, coaching centers, and institutional sales. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and achieving sales targets while expanding ALLEN’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients: schools, coaching centers, tuition teachers, government bodies.
  • Develop new business opportunities through liaison with school administration and coaching institutes.
  • Execute outreach plans: workshops, seminars, ground activations, promotional events.
  • Participate in conferences, networking events, and brand-building activities.
  • Present and demonstrate educational products / EdTech solutions to prospective clients.
  • Ensure timely lead generation and CRM updates.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and education policy changes.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets & KPIs.
  • Provide regular reports on pipeline status and market feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of proven business development / sales experience in the education industry.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 and higher education landscapes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Language proficiency: English, Hindi, and regional language (Bengali / Marathi, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with EdTech products / solutions.
  • Existing network of contacts within the education sector.
