Business & Compliance Intern - Humane Farming (Egg Supply chain)

What makes the role meaty?

Farm & Certification Support

• Research and compile a list of humane certification bodies relevant in India (e.g., Certified Humane, Animal Welfare Approved, Global Animal Partnership)
• Assist in vetting potential egg farms for compliance with humane standards.
• Coordinate farm audits, site visits, and pre-assessment documentation.
• Support farms in understanding certification criteria and improvement plans.
• Maintain tracking sheets, certification timelines, and reporting tools.

Supply Chain & Vendor Onboarding

• Support onboarding of new egg farm vendors into our supply chain.
• Work with internal teams (quality, procurement) on farm approvals.
• Assist in drafting vendor agreements and ethical sourcing guidelines.
• Monitor ongoing compliance (visits, check-ins, data collection)

Research & Strategy

• Benchmark best practices globally in humane egg sourcing
• Identify potential risks and gaps in current Indian farm practices
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal review

We hope that you have...

• Pursued or completed a degree

  in B.Sc. Veteri

  nary, Agriculture, Animal Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• A strong passion for animal welfare, sustainable food systems, and ethical sourcing.
• Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the willingness to engage with stakeholders on the ground.
• Fluency in English and Hindi.
