Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager - Solar, located in Hyderabad.


  • Develop and execute market-entry and growth strategies to expand our presence in the C&I and utility-scale solar sectors
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with key clients, investors, and government bodies.
  • Forge and maintain long-lasting, high-trust relationships with decision-makers and industry partners
  • Collaborate with our engineering and finance teams to create compelling techno-commercial proposals, and negotiate contracts and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that ensure profitability.
  • Act as our eyes and ears on the ground, providing crucial intelligence on market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, with at least 4-5 years specifically in the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets and securing large-scale solar EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of the entire solar project lifecycle and various business models (CAPEX, OPEX, RESCO).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management
  • Strong understanding of Solar Energy solutions and Project Management
  • Ability to identify new market opportunities and develop strategic plans
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Project management skills and the ability to work with technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad
