Role Overview

Business Development Manager – Events


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sponsorship Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pitch, and close sponsorship opportunities across virtual, on-ground, and hybrid events.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers (CXOs, marketing heads, business leaders) across relevant industries.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets through new sponsor acquisition and upselling.

2. Event Strategy & Positioning

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create impactful sponsorship decks and value propositions.
  • Customize event pitches based on partner goals, brand objectives, and market trends.
  • Identify new event formats, campaign themes, and industry verticals to expand revenue potential.

3. Partner Engagement & Account Management

  • Manage end-to-end sponsor lifecycle, from onboarding and pre-event planning to execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure delivery of sponsor entitlements and consistent communication across touchpoints.
  • Build long-term relationships to drive repeat business and strategic partnerships.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with content, operations, and marketing teams to align partner objectives with event strategy.
  • Contribute ideas for event agendas, branding opportunities, and audience targeting.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in B2B business development, preferably in events, media, consulting, or SaaS industries.
  • Proven ability to close high-value sponsorship or partnership deals.
  • Strong understanding of branding, lead generation, and event ROI frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Exposure to the HR tech, startup, or consulting ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) and presentation/design tools (e.g., Canva, Pitch, PowerPoint).
