Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to identify opportunities within the Indian defence sector, understand its evolving needs, and analyze user requirements across diverse terrains and operational scenarios.
  • Engage with India defence and Government Bodies to assess their operation needs, challenges, and expectations, ensuring alignment with the Companys produc offerings.
  • Identify and proactively create demand for the Company's products within the targeted segment.
  • Represent the Company at defence exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events, showcasing its products and engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Lead impactful product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the unique features and benefits of the Companys solutions to potential customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to generate leads, foster customer trust, and successfully close deals in the defence and paramilitary markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, provide ongoing support, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.Prepare and submit comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) issued by defence procurement agencies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct product field trials with defence customers to validate performance, gather operational feedback, and drive product improvement.
  • Explore and pursue international business opportunities, expanding the Company's footprint in the global defence sector.
  • Tender filing and Coordination through the Gems Portal.

Requirements:

  • Business Development: Demonstrated success in business development, with a focus on the defence sector.
  • Personal and Professional Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex technical concepts effectively. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and craft innovative solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Military Experience: A commissioned officer from the Indian Army with experience, preferably with a background in Signals, RF Sales, defence/Navy/ Army Sales, Technical Sales
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of wireless radio technology and its applications within defence operations.
