Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth for our home automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, strategic partnerships, and market development within the smart home, IoT, or technology sector. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and positioning our home automation products and services in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage potential customers, partners (e.g., builders, interior designers, real estate developers), and system integrators.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth in residential and commercial smart automation projects.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and gaps.
  • Partnership Development: Forge and manage strategic alliances with relevant industry players to expand brand presence.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing, and presentations for clients and partners.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track sales pipeline, revenue targets, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the company's smart home products, including lighting, security, HVAC, voice control, energy management, etc.
  • Event Participation: Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and product demonstrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
  • 3–7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in home automation, smart home technology, consumer electronics, or IoT
  • Strong understanding of smart home products
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing network within the real estate, construction, or architecture industries
  • Technical knowledge of smart home systems integration and automation platforms
  • Experience working with B2B and B2C clients

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Salary: Starting ₹35000 + Incentives (based on experience it may vary)

Location: Kochi

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
