Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Growth

  • Identify new business opportunities in domestic and regional markets.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Develop strategies to increase sales of steel products (flats, rounds, bars, etc.).
2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and industrial buyers.

Handle customer queries, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Regular visits to customers for follow-ups, negotiations, and order closures.
3. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.

Collect market intelligence to support management in decision-making.
Suggest product modifications or new product requirements based on market needs.
4. Commercial & Coordination

  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms with customers.

Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
Track customer receivables and support collection of outstanding payments.
5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts.

Provide weekly/monthly updates to management.
Ensure proper documentation of orders, contracts, and agreements.

  • Strong understanding of steel products, grades, and applications.

Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze markets, generate leads, and close deals.
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
Good knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems for reporting and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Engineering / Metallurgy / Mechanical / Commerce / Business (preferred).

MBA in Marketing/Sales will be an advantage.
10-20 years of experience in sales/business development (preferably in steel/metal industry or B2B industrial sales).
Willingness to travel extensively for business development.

  • Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Sales revenue achieved vs. targets.

New customers acquired and retention rate.
Market share growth in assigned regions.
Collection efficiency (payment recovery timelines).
Customer satisfaction and repeat business ratio.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
