Job Description – Business Development Executive

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities with minimal supervision. You’ll work independently, network with potential clients, and contribute to the overall success of the company through your ability to drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Client Acquisition: Independently Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging digital channels to build a robust sales pipeline. Target new business opportunities in a fastpacked startup environment.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their interior design needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research and Strategy: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and client preferences; use insights to develop effective business strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by presenting tailored interior design solutions, preparing proposals, conducting negotiations, and closing deals efficiently. Manage the entire sales cycle: from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with interior designers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Project, Accounts, and Marketing) to optimize client engagement strategies.
  • Brand Promotion and Representation: Represent the company at exhibitions, events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and positioning in the interior design market.
  • Proposal and Presentation Development: Prepare compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations that effectively showcase the firm’s design capabilities and align with client needs and budget considerations.
  • Contract Management and Documentation: Oversee contract negotiations and ensure proper documentation of agreements and project details in accordance with company policies.
  • CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate client information, sales activities, and project startup updates using CRM tools; prepare regular reports on business development performance for senior management. Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction and provide excellent customer service to maintain and expand client relationships.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and develop partnerships with real estate companies, architects, builders, and corporate clients to expand the firm's market reach.
  • Visit clients on-site to assess their design needs and provide suitable product recommendations.
  • Any other task as deemed fit by the management within the skills of Business Development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience – Min 2- 5 years in field sales.
  • Proven experience working in startups, specifically in business development and sales.
  • Demonstrated success in generating and closing business deals, with documented results (sales achievements, targets met, revenue growth).
  • Ability to network effectively and build meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and prospects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a great personality – the ability to engage and build trust with people.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A motivated self-starter with a “get-things-done” mentality.
  • Adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges and change.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
