Job Description

Required Business Development Executive – Agro Machinery The Business Development Executive (BDE) – Agriculture Equipment will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the company’s footprint in the agricultural sector. This role requires active engagement with farmers, dealers, and agri-business stakeholders to promote a portfolio of agricultural machinery and tools. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of the agricultural ecosystem, proven sales capabilities (B2B/B2C), and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities:1. Market Research & Lead Generation Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs. Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, field visits, online platforms, and agri events. Prioritize leads based on potential, location, and product relevance. 2. Sales & Customer Relationship Management Promote and sell agricultural equipment to farmers, cooperatives, and dealers. Deliver engaging product presentations and live demonstrations. Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure prompt after-sales service. Negotiate pricing and contract terms, and close sales deals effectively. 3. Dealer Network Development (if applicable)Identify, appoint, and onboard new dealers/channel partners. Provide product training and sales enablement support to dealers. Monitor dealer performance and assist them in achieving sales targets. 4. Sales Strategy, Planning & ReportingPrepare and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company goals. Submit regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights. Analyze customer data and local market dynamics to optimize sales efforts. 5. Industry Engagement & Representation Participate in industry exhibitions, trade shows, and local agri-events. Keep up to date with evolving agricultural technologies and competitor offerings. Represent the company in a professional manner, reinforcing brand presence. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. 1–3 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in agri-equipment or allied sectors. Strong knowledge of agricultural products, markets, and seasonal practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Self-driven, goal-oriented, and open to frequent field travel. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Must hold a valid driving license. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with agri-equipment like sprayers, weeders, or chaff cutters. Strong network within the farming or dealer community. Familiarity with local cropping patterns, soil conditions, and agri-business trends.
