Job Description

The Business Development cum Tender Executive will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, preparing and submitting tenders, and managing the end-to-end bidding process mainly for government department projects. The role requires a keen understanding of architectural consultancy services, government tendering processes, and strong coordination skills to ensure successful bid submissions and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and track upcoming government projects, tenders, and RFPs related to architectural consultancy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government departments, public sector undertakings, and allied agencies.
  • Support in networking, client meetings, and presentations to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitor activities, industry trends, and pricing strategies.

Tendering & Bidding:

  • Search, evaluate, and shortlist relevant government tenders from e-procurement portals and other sources.
  • Study tender documents, eligibility criteria, scope of work, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with the technical/design team for preparing technical proposals, presentations, and BOQs as required.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit tender documents (both online and offline) within deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all required documents, certifications, and formats as per tender conditions.
  • Handle pre-bid queries, clarifications, and correspondence with tendering authorities.
  • Maintain systematic records of all tenders, submissions, and outcomes.

Follow-up & Reporting:

  • Track tender evaluation, communicate with departments, and follow up on tender results.
  • Assist in negotiations and contract finalization post-award of tenders.
  • Maintain MIS reports for tenders submitted, status updates, wins/losses, and revenue forecasts.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management on business development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in Architecture / Engineering / Business Administration / Commerce (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development / tendering, preferably in architectural consultancy, construction, or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of government e-tendering portals, GEM, CPPP, and e-procurement systems.
  • Excellent drafting, documentation, and proposal-writing skills.
  • Good understanding of tender terms, contracts, and government procurement processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
