Business Development (Construction Cluster – Interior Solutions)

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing of suppliers for interior-focused construction materials (Stones, Tiles, lighting, flooring, modular furniture, false ceilings, sanitary ware, wall finishes, automation systems, Elevators, Equipment and machineries
• Identify and evaluate new vendors and design houses in the premium and mid-market segments
• Build long-term partnerships with architects, interior contractors, and specialty product manufacturers
• Negotiate contracts to ensure design quality, aesthetic consistency, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery
• Collaborate with procurement, design, and project execution teams to integrate suppliers in EPC & turnkey interior projects
• Monitor trends in the interior design, workspace/hospitality solutions, and residential lifestyle segments to drive sourcing strategy
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of vendor capabilities, compliance, and project delivery benchmarks
• Maintain updated knowledge of materials, finishes, sustainability standards, and innovative interior solutions (smart systems, acoustics, green materials)
• Represent the construction cluster in exhibitions, interior expos, and B2B networking forums to build strategic alliances
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, or related field
• minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement, business development, or vendor management within the interior solutions, construction project execution, or architectural products industry
• Strong experience working with interior vendors, OEMs, boutique design firms, and modular/interior fit-out suppliers
• Excellent negotiation, vendor development, and relationship management skills
• Familiarity with industry trends in residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional interiors
• Exposure to quality standards (IGBC, LEED, ISO), material certifications, and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in Analytics, Advanced Excel, and business reporting is essential
