Business Development Associate

As a Business Development Associate at Ozell Cooner Paints, you will play a vital role in expanding the client base and fostering long-term partnerships within the paint and coatings industry. Your key responsibilities will include: - Onboarding new paint store dealers and nurturing collaborative relationships for sustained growth. - Conducting site visits to effectively promote and sell paint and ancillary products to clients. - Analyzing local paint markets to identify growth opportunities and generate high-quality leads in both retail and project segments. - Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with dealers, contractors, and site engineers. - Proactively following up on leads, inquiries, and orders to ensure successful deal closures. - Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to enhance sales strategies. - Coordinating with internal teams to facilitate seamless deliveries and optimize client satisfaction. Your qualifications should ideally include: - Preferable prior experience in the paint industry. - Minimum of 2-3 years of field sales experience, particularly in B2B or retail settings. - Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented mindset. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, with a preference for familiarity with platforms like ChatGPT or a readiness to use AI tools. - Bonus points for basic knowledge of construction or paint application processes. - Comfortable working autonomously and willing to travel for client meetings and site visits.
