Job Description — Business Development Associate

Department: Business Development | Reporting To: Business Development Manager / Head of BD
Mode: [On-site / Hybrid / Remote] | Experience: 0–2+ Years

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and result-driven Business Development Associate who can contribute to client acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term relationship building. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and a strong understanding of sales processes. Both freshers and experienced applicants are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities
  • Conduct discovery calls, client meetings, and product/service presentations
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, pitch decks, and other sales documents
  • Own the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
  • Maintain accurate client and sales data within the CRM
  • Build, nurture, and manage long-term client relationships
  • Generate insights on market trends and competitor behaviour
  • Ensure timely coordination with internal delivery teams
  • Achieve individual monthly and quarterly revenue goals

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership ability and confidence to lead client conversations
  • Good negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of sales strategy, funnel management, and client handling
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms
  • Ability to work independently with a goal-oriented approach

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in consulting, IT services, or B2B sales
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, email prospecting, and digital lead tools
  • Ability to create structured proposals and impactful presentations

Experience & Revenue Criteria

  • 0–1 year: Candidates with strong communication skills and basic sales exposure
  • 2+ years: Must show measurable sales performance such as:
  • Total revenue generated
  • Deals closed / targets achieved
  • Conversion metrics
