Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business PerformanceAchieve monthly and annual sales targetsDrive walk-in conversion, average bill value, and repeat customersPlan and execute festival sales (Pongal, Diwali, Aadi, wedding seasons)Monitor daily sales reports and take immediate corrective actionsEnsure proper product mix (silk, cotton, synthetic, kids, readymade, etc.)2. Customer Experience & RelationshipEnsure high-quality customer handling on the showroom floorPersonally attend VIP / high-value customersHandle escalations, complaints, and billing disputes calmly and effectivelyBuild long-term relationships with local families, marriage brokers, and bulk buyersMaintain showroom reputation and word-of-mouth in Thiruvarur town3. Team Management & LeadershipLead, guide, and motivate sales executives, cashiers, helpers, and supervisorsEnsure discipline, punctuality, grooming, and behavior standardsConduct daily morning briefing and sales reviewsIdentify training needs and coach staff on:Customer handlingProduct knowledgeUpselling & cross-sellingReduce attrition and build a stable team4. Operations & Process ControlEnsure smooth daily showroom operations:Opening & closing proceduresCash handling and billing accuracyStock inward / outward coordinationCoordinate with warehouse / HO for:Stock replenishmentSlow-moving stock clearancePrevent pilferage, billing errors, and inventory lossEnsure cleanliness, lighting, music, and visual appeal of the showroom5. Inventory & Stock ManagementMonitor stock levels category-wiseIdentify fast-moving and dead stockPlan markdowns, offers, and clearance sales with approvalEnsure proper tagging, folding, stacking, and display standards6. Compliance & ReportingEnsure adherence to company policies and SOPsMaintain attendance, leave records, and duty rostersPrepare and submit:Daily sales reportMonthly performance summaryStaff performance feedbackCoordinate during audits and inspections if required
