What you will do

What You Will Do

The Power BI Developer is responsible for performing work in the following areas:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and highly scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Translate business requirements into data models, DAX measures, and visualizations, by Working closely with the Business Analytics leaders to understand needs of the business; clearly articulating the story of value created through data & technology.
• Drive prioritization and implementation of most appropriate combination of data analytics methodologies & frameworks to ensure optimal scalability, flexibility and performance of platforms, products & solutions .
• Connect to wide variety of data sources (Snowflake, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, etc.)
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Using programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the custom logic.
• Implement row-level security, data refresh schedules, and workspace management.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver insights.
• Document processes, data flows, and dashboard logic for transparency and handover.
• Supporting software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting errors, responding to scope changes, and making quick report enhancements

Key Responsibilities

• Working with product owners, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand the business needs and to build data solutions that meet those needs
• Keeping up with the latest trends in data analytics
• Providing training on data analytics concepts and techniques to other members of the team.
• Document processes, data flows, and dashboard logic for transparency and handover
• Participating in data governance initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experiences with a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering; or 3 years and a Master degree in Computer or Software Engineering;
• Demonstrated strength in examining issues, driving resolution & influencing effectiveness across the organization. Ability to challenge the status quo in technology & architecture.
• Superb interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience with developing Power BI Dashboards, with Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience Experience with SQL for querying and transforming data
• Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and custom visuals
• Proven track record leading multiple high-profile projects with demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with defined resources. Ability to estimate required effort and prioritize work items appropriately.

Desired Qualifications

• Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification
• Conversant with Data & Analytics product management, Azure, SQL, Data Catalog
• Knowledge of Snowflake/Databricks.
• Preferably from Retail or CPG industry
