Back End Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Backend/Full Stack Software Engineer (5–7 years experience) to join the Portfolio Monitoring engineering team. This role focuses on building and scaling backend services that power portfolio performance tracking, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong .NET Core / C# expertise, distributed systems knowledge, and hands-on experience integrating financial data sources into scalable services. Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) is also expected.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services that support portfolio performance tracking, risk assessment, diversification monitoring, and compliance checks.
• Build integrations with financial data providers and internal systems via APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Apply SOLID principles and best practices to deliver maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Ensure accurate and timely portfolio performance and risk data for reporting and dashboards.
• Implement robust unit testing, debugging, and performance profiling for production readiness.
• Contribute to distributed systems architecture with focus on data consistency, scalability, and resiliency.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) effectively to increase productivity.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in .NET Core / C#, including dependency injection, async programming, caching, and middleware.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven design.
• Experience integrating financial or portfolio data sources is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education/Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Language

· Fluent in both spoken and written English
