Job Description

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional to oversee

all Line Maintenance activities

and ensure compliance with

DGCA regulations, safety, and airworthiness standards

.The role involves ensuring

aircraft availability as per operational needs

, managing

scheduled maintenance programs

, and collaborating closely with the

Flight Operations

and

Maintenance Control Center (MCC)

teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with DGCA CAR-145 and CAR-66 regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and monitor all Line Maintenance activities to meet company procedures and safety standards.
  • Analyze and address technical delays in coordination with MCC and Technical Services.
  • Communicate accurate return-to-service timelines for AOG or delayed aircraft.
  • Review Technical Dispatch Reliability Reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely closure of work orders in AMOS and proper tracking of MEL/CDL/NEF items.
  • Maintain the highest standards of productivity, quality, and safety in maintenance operations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, ensure corrective actions, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and maintain all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and tooling in serviceable condition.
  • Ensure proper component recording, storage, and routing through stores.
  • Liaise with the Technical Services Department for technical delays, incidents, and repetitive defects.
  • Coordinate with the Training Manager to ensure adequate type and refresher training for staff.
  • Develop and maintain Line Maintenance procedures across all network stations.
  • Manage and audit subcontracted Line Maintenance providers and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Ensure Duty Time Limitations are followed for all maintenance staff.
  • Lead, guide, and assess maintenance teams to improve technical performance.
  • Develop third-party maintenance handling capability and associated revenue opportunities.

Skills & Qualities Required

  • Strong technical expertise in aircraft maintenance processes.
  • Deep understanding of DGCA regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to influence and align internal and external stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Customer Satisfaction: Minimize complaints, ensure on-time readiness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to all DGCA and internal standards.
  • Quality Management: Reduction in defects and repeat discrepancies.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent with AME training from a DGCA-approved institute.
  • Must hold a valid DGCA AME License (Category B1/B2) with Type Rating/Company Authorization.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance for transport category aircraft in a scheduled airline.
  • Preferred: 10 years of experience on Narrow Body (A320 Family) and/or 8 years on Wide Body (B777/B787)aircraft.
