Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Audit Intern to join our audit team under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auditing practices, financial reporting, and risk management while working alongside experienced auditors. You will assist in the preparation and execution of audit tasks, helping to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing audits of financial statements and internal controlsPrepare and review supporting documentation for audit testingHelp with the identification and assessment of audit risksSupport in performing tests of controls and substantive proceduresAssist in preparing audit reports and presentations for clientsCommunicate with clients and audit team to gather necessary informationParticipate in the analysis of financial statements and business processes

Qualifications

Learn about compliance requirements, industry standards, and best practicesCurrently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldEligible for participation in the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)Strong attention to detail and analytical skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Prior internship or coursework in accounting or auditing is a plus
