Job Overview: Our client, a reputed IT infrastructure and solutions provider, is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Technical & Presales (Network) to join their team in Guwahati. The role involves designing and implementing enterprise networking solutions, handling presales activities, and providing technical support across projects. This position is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in L3 switching/routing, NGFW, SD-LAN/SD-WAN, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving user/client technical problems. Responsible for understanding customer requirements and preparing suitable technical solutions/presentations. Responsible for providing POC (Proof of Concept). Responsible for installation, configuration, and execution of work within specified time with the team. Responsible for adequate support of warranty / post-warranty calls. Responsible for follow-up of RMA issues with respective OEMs. Responsible for preparing all technical documents related to any tender & project/implementation. Responsible for periodic reporting and effective communication. Responsible for onsite technical support to customers across all locations. Desired Candidate Profile: Graduate in Engineering or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCIP, or NGFW (from any reputed OEM) are mandatory. 5–7 years of hands-on experience in networking installation, configuration, and support. Strong knowledge of L3 switching, L3 routing, NGFW, Core L3 switch and router configuration, SD-LAN/SD-WAN, VRRP, and BGP. Experience with IP-based CCTV systems and storage configuration. Ability to prepare and compare technical specifications for projects and tenders. Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills in English. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or leading a small technical team.
