Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the production process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. This role involves working closely with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to optimize production schedules, manage inventory, and minimize delays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling: Create and manage production schedules to meet COE demand, taking into account production capacity and lead times as per the standard time.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity with the standard loading template and make recommendations to optimize available manpower utilization and minimize bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, procurement, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. Responsible to handle and reduce Over time cost.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve production planning-related issues, such as material shortages, production delays, or inventory discrepancies. Communicate to COE for exemptions as and when required on the lead time
  • Communication: Communicate production plans, schedules, and changes to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, management, and customers. Highlight bottlenecks and relevant solutions proactively.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand and improve overall customer satisfaction. Responsible to monitor Service Level at 100%
  • Manpower Planning: Ensure manpower availability vs requirement at all times and proactively place Manpower requisitions
  • Training: Ensure prompt skill development trainings are conducted as per requirement and keep pool of attachment operators to avoid gaps in manpower availability. Ensure prompt completion of new joiners process training
  • Data Dash boards : Responsible to share all data reports as and when required
  • Daily meetings: Ensure daily updates on Production performance are conducted and communicated
