Assistant Manager - Production

As the Assistant Manager - Production at our company, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the processing and packing operations of the production line. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the products are packed within the specified product specifications while managing production costs effectively. You will be leading a team of subordinates and ensuring that their performance meets the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). It will be your duty to conduct performance appraisals regularly and implement a comprehensive training and development plan for all team members within the allocated budget. Effective communication with shop floor staff is essential to recognize and acknowledge their achievements, provide necessary support, and keep them informed about any changes in company procedures or policies. Your role will also involve setting individual goals and KPIs, measuring performance using organizational tools, and fostering a positive and constructive work environment. You will be responsible for executing the packing plan, maintaining a strong safety culture throughout the production line, and ensuring adherence to the production schedule. Additionally, you will oversee maintenance duties, manage product costs, handle financial aspects of the department, and ensure compliance with quality standards, hygiene practices, and statutory requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have a BE/B-tech degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Food Technology with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Food Industry. People management skills with at least 3 years of experience are also required.
