Job Description

Position Summary

  1. The Production Head will oversee all daily operations of the plant ensuring policies and procedures are followed, develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, productivity and morale of Team.
  2. Improving efficiencies, asset utilization, capacity assessment and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Upkeep and ensure to plant safety procedures and enhance EHS culture.
  2. Ensure food quality and food safety protocols in place
  3. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations
  4. Overall Engineering and Maintenance performance management within budgeted costs
  5. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  6. Implement strategies with clear sense of direction and focus, aligned with organisations objectives.
  7. Oversee day-to-day operations and take necessary corrective actions
  8. Collaborate cross functionally and maintain healthy work culture
  9. Ensure identification of means for improving yields and reducing losses
  10. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  11. Support necessary liaising with external stake holders and regulatory/statutory authorities.
  12. Implementation of policies and procedures in line with organisations commitment to People Safety, Product Safety and Environmental upkeep
  13. Analyze varies issues and drive initiaitives for improvement in plant reliability, costs and operational efficiencies
  14. Identify several technological advancements in the industry and explore implementation internally

Key knowledge & Skills

  1. 1. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  2. 2. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  3. 3. Having hands-on knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand fulfillment, inventory
  4. 4. Strong capabilities of building and leading teams, logical decision-making, hands-on-ness and leading by example
  5. 5. Readiness to work in a poultry processing unit
