Job Description

The individual will be part of the Central Procurement team, supporting Indirect Procurement. The role requires prior experience in sourcing vendors across diverse spend categories.


Key Deliverables

  • The person will be responsible for managing indirect procurement for India, covering a wide range of categories including IT (hardware, software, and services), HR and administration (HR consultants, insurance, travel agencies, HRMS, etc.), retail consumables (such as paper bags, stickers, hangers, uniforms, security, and housekeeping), as well as procurement support for supply chain, marketing, and other business functions.
  • Writing and/or reviewing specifications for supplies and services, participate in technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Pre-qualify vendor / suppliers based on vendor profile and market reputation for supplier assessments and selections, with the goal of obtaining optimized quality, cost, delivery and innovation.
  • Manage RFP and participate in negotiations with suppliers.
  • Co-ordination with vendors for quotations and comparing the quotes received
  • Review and analyze bids to ensure adherence to procedures and policies and prepare techno-commercial comparatives for optimized procurement results.
  • Compare and analyze finalized costs with market standards.
  • Ensure optimization of procurement systems; maintain global standards in procurement.
  • Complete the procurement in committed timelines as per schedule
  • Constantly seek out improvement of procurement processes and practices that eliminate non-value-added activity and incorporate relevant best practices.
  • Communicates with Inter department employees / Vendors and assists in resolution of any open issues pro-actively.
  • Should be well versed in Excel to analyze procurement data and generate analysis reports.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, price agreements, and procurement logs.
