Assistant Manager - Oversight & Compliance Quality Control

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Control Programme Oversight
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Akasa Air Security Quality Control Programme as per AOSP, SPM, QCP, CASTP and ICAO Annex 17.
• Oversee the annual schedule of quality control activities including audits, inspections, and tests across all network stations.
• Operational Compliance
• Ensure effective implementation of security measures for daily departures.
• Support station-level security teams in maintaining high standards of compliance and operational integrity.
• Management change & Risk Assessment & Mitigation
• Prepare MOC and assist in conducting regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
• Audit & Inspection Management
• Collate and analyze audit/inspection reports submitted by internal auditors.
• Prepare presentations highlighting significant security concerns and trends.
• Regulatory Coordination
• Liaise with Station Security Heads to obtain Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for regulatory observations.
• Ensure timely submission of RCA/CAP to the Head – Oversight & Compliance.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of all security activities, incidents, and audits.
• Prepare and disseminate monthly Security Bulletins to promote incident reporting and awareness.
• Prepare and maintain dashboard for oversight and compliance for leadership
• Training & Awareness
• Disseminate security procedures, circulars, case studies, flyers, and advisories.
• Promote a culture of security awareness among staff.
• Authority:
• Initiate RCA for any security/safety incident, accident, occurrence, or hazard.
• Recommend CAPs to ensure compliance with Akasa Air’s Aviation Security Programme (AOSP).
• Act as Sr. Manager – Compliance & Oversight in their absence.
• Accountability:
• Ensure full compliance with Akasa Air’s SPM and Security Quality Control Programme.
• Drive continuous improvement in security operations through performance evaluations and feedback.
• Lead and support security teams across stations to maintain operational excellence.
• Ensure Security culture promotion activity across all the verticals
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years in aviation security, with at least 2 years in a compliance or oversight role
• Familiarity with NCASTP, ICAO Annex 17, and IATA SMS & SeMS framework.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  

Good To Have

• Certified in BCAS Auditor Certification or IATA Security Audit & Quality Control.
  

Educational Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized university.
