Job Summary: The Assistant Technical Manager – Electrical will support the planning, execution, and maintenance of electrical systems across projects and facilities. This role involves supervising electrical engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient and reliable electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for new and existing projects.
Monitor and manage electrical maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Support the Technical Manager in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants for procurement and execution of electrical works.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively.
Maintain documentation of electrical layouts, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
Train and guide junior technicians and engineers as needed.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Should hold valid electrical supervisor license issued by CEIG, Karnataka
Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of electrical equipment in a Plant/Industrial set-up.
Proven ability to trouble shoot the control circuits in the complex electrical panels.
Operation and maintenance of Gas Insulated Substation, HT Generators, 66KV outdoor yards, 66/11 KV Power Transformers.
Hands on work experience in the use of Meggers, Thermography instruments, testing equipment’s etc.
Good conversational/ written English skills.
Mandatory Certifications: Licensed Electrical Engineer (as per local regulations)
