About your team
The Cost COE was formed to develop a scalable operating framework centered on cost, aiming to be a cost-effective entity and serve as a catalyst for efficiency, effectiveness, and ongoing enhancement. Their emphasis is on enhancing cost transparency and quality, identifying optimisation opportunities, and developing and applying best practices and procedures to support and enhance strategic partnerships and operational elements to drive business performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
About your role
As part of our team, you’ll learn and grow every day. You’ll develop specialist knowledge of your Cost area and will contribute to the implementation of best practice.
Key Responsibilities will be as follows:

Own and manage the end-to-end accrual and accounting process of cost areas, including people cost.

Create engaging and informative monthly and ad-hoc analysis, analyzing movements with Controlling and Business Finance perspective.

Support month end process by investigating variance with budget/forecast and provide thoughtful actions and comments to drive business decisions.

Understand and compile stakeholder requests and provide feasible solutions.

Undertake monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and lead the overall month end close process.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders (including Payroll, HR, Legal and Management Accounting & Business Finance teams) acting as subject matter expert for your Cost area and positively representing the Cost COE

Get involved in an exciting range of FIL-wide projects or tasks relating to your Cost area.

Maintain a high level of risk awareness and develop a sound control environment to mitigate risk.
About you
Experience and Qualifications required:
-
Qualified CA/MBA Finance with upto 6+ years of experience in accounting, data analytics, reporting and reconciliations.

Understand cost accounting and its downstream impact on Controllership and Business Finance

Have sound analytical skills and strong knowledge of accounting principles

Comfortable in working with people and teams across the business to develop, share, accept and implement new ideas

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
-
Knowledge of Essbase, SmartView, Oracle Fusion, Visualisation tools like Power BI, Alteryx & Tableau would be an advantage.

Good Communication skills and experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment
