Job Description

Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager - Maintenance


  • Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all processing equipment.
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians, fitters, electricians, and contractors to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting Machine breakdown, Root cause Analysis & Learning Sharing
  • Generate weekly machine performance data update.
  • Minimize breakdowns and downtime through quick troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and update equipment logs, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and food processing regulations.
  • Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance without affecting throughput.
  • Manage utility systems including boilers, compressors, HVAC, and water treatment plants.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant expansions.
  • Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, including spare part planning and cost controls.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for specialised repairs or AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure machine reliability and safety.
  • Tracking & ensuring on time spare parts availability of operational & utility machinery.
  • Proper & at actual documentation of Preventive maintenance jobs
  • Tracking & closing of machine safety assessment & infrastructure safety assessment audit gaps.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance of Utility Operation.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 plus years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in Agrochemical-processing unit.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, GEP, and other food safety compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisation skills.
