Job Description

Position: Assistant Export Manager

Location: Indore – Head Office

Reporting to: Senior Management / Director Exports

Qualification: Graduate degree in Marketing, Sales, IB, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience


The Assistant Export Manager will support and manage key export functions of the manufacturing business while actively contributing to business expansion in international markets. The role includes coordination for overseas travel, brand promotion, export business development, and cross-functional alignment to ensure efficient export operations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Export Operations & Coordination

  • Assist in managing export operations, shipment planning, and coordination with logistics partners.
  • Support smooth execution of export orders and maintain coordination with internal departments.
  • Ensure timely communication with clients regarding order schedules and shipment updates.

2. Overseas & Outstation Activities

  • Travel abroad and outstation for market visits, client meetings, exhibitions, and business promotional activities.
  • Represent the company in international trade fairs, brand promotion events, and client interactions.
  • Conduct market research during travel to identify new opportunities and competitor trends.

3. Export Business Development

  • Identify new international markets and potential clients to expand the export footprint.
  • Support development and implementation of export sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with international customers for inquiries, negotiations, and closing export deals.

4. Brand Promotion & Representation

  • Promote the company’s brand and products across global markets.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to implement export-specific promotional activities.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with clients, distributors, and partners.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Support basic documentation requirements such as invoice verification and coordination with CHA (as needed).
  • Ensure essential compliance requirements are met in coordination with the export team.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of export management within a manufacturing setup.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with global clients.
  • Persuasive and strong negotiation skills to drive effective business arrangements.
  • Self-confident and outgoing personality to support expansion strategies and overseas engagements.
  • Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and export-related tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and outstation as required.
