Assistant Account Manager

Asst Accounts Manager for a steel manufacturing co at Broadway,Chennai Job Title: Assistant Accounts Manager Location: Chennai Department: Finance & Accounts Experience: 6 – 10 years Industry: Steel / Manufacturing CTC : Maximum gross up to 50 K PM Key Responsibilities: Manage complete accounting cycle — journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing of books. Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and cost analysis reports specific to TMT operations. Oversee banking operations, including vendor and dealer payments, fund transfers, LC/BG handling, and bank reconciliations. Handle cash flow management — track daily inflows/outflows, forecast fund requirements, and ensure adequate working capital. Manage treasury activities — coordinate with banks for fund arrangements, optimize interest costs, and oversee investment of surplus funds. Liaise with banks and financial institutions for working capital limits, term loans, and documentation. Ensure timely statutory compliance — GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other regulatory filings. Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for audits and ensure smooth closure. Monitor receivables and payables, assist in credit control, and support the sales team for fund realization. Support budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis for management review. Supervise junior accountants and ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of Manufacturing industry/ steel industry accounting practices and cost structures. Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.
