Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assembly Line Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in assembling toy products. The role ensures production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity, and timelines while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.


Salary :-

20 to 25K CTC

Key Responsibilities:


Production Planning & Execution

Plan and organize daily assembly line activities based on production schedules.

Allocate manpower and materials to achieve production targets.

Monitor workflow and balance line operations for optimum efficiency.


Supervision & Coordination

Supervise assembly line operators and helpers during production.

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new or less experienced workers.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).


Quality Control

Monitor product quality during assembly and ensure compliance with toy safety and quality standards.

Identify defects or non-conformities and take corrective actions promptly.

Coordinate with the QC department for inspection and approval.


Material & Resource Management

Ensure timely availability of components, packaging materials, and tools.

Reduce material wastage and maintain accurate consumption records.

Coordinate with the store and maintenance teams for smooth operations.


Productivity & Process Improvement

Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements in process flow, layout, and manpower utilization.

Maintain line efficiency and reduce downtime.

Support in new product development (NPD) trials and sample runs.


Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily production reports, attendance, and line efficiency records.

Report production output, rejections, and downtime to the Production Manager.

Support in maintaining ISO / compliance documentation as per audit requirements.


Safety & Housekeeping

Ensure safe working practices and proper use of PPE by all workers.

Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards on the shop floor.


Qualification & Experience:

Education: Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production discipline.

Experience: 3–6 years of experience in assembly line supervision in toys / plastic molding / electronic toys / consumer goods manufacturing.


Key Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Good knowledge of toy assembly processes (plastic, mechanical, or electronic).

Understanding of quality standards and safety regulations.

Hands-on experience in line balancing and productivity improvement.

Good communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.


Preferred Experience:

Exposure to manual and semi-automatic assembly lines.

Experience with decorating, packaging, and final inspection processes for toys.

Familiar with BIS / EN71 / ASTM toy quality standards.
