Job Summary: The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing basic medical care, promoting health and safety, preventing occupational illnesses, and assisting with emergency response within the manufacturing facility. The nurse will play a key role in maintaining compliance with health regulations and supporting the overall well-being of employees in a high-volume toys manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Medical Care and First Aid: Administer first aid and emergency medical treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses. Provide nursing care for minor ailments and refer employees to specialists or hospitals when necessary. Maintain up-to-date records of treatments, referrals, and follow-ups. 2. Health Monitoring and Surveillance: Assist in pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations in coordination with the Factory Medical Officer. Monitor employees with occupational exposures and chronic conditions. Keep track of vaccinations and health screening schedules. 3. Health Education & Promotion: Conduct awareness programs on occupational health hazards, ergonomics, hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle diseases. Support wellness initiatives and health campaigns within the facility. 4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., Factories Act, OSHA standards). Maintain medical records and registers as per statutory requirements. 5. Emergency Preparedness: Participate in mock drills for fire, chemical spills, or other emergencies. Maintain readiness of emergency medical equipment and first aid kits across the site. 6. Coordination: Work closely with the Safety Officer and HR team to report health trends and suggest improvements. Liaise with external hospitals, ambulance services, and medical vendors as needed. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (GNM or B.Sc Nursing). Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory. Occupational Health Certification (preferable). Minimum 2–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setup, preferably FMCG or toys manufacturing. Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain digital medical records.
