Area Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for achieving sales targets and business growth within the assigned area. The role involves developing and managing a network of distributors, dealers, and sales representatives, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with key customers to drive revenue and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Manage, train, and motivate the field sales team to deliver high performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure proper execution of marketing and promotional activities in the assigned area.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, performance analysis, and territory mapping.
• Manage inventory, pricing, and credit control in coordination with distributors.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and brand standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 4–8 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in FMCG, consumer goods, or a similar sector.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams effectively.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
