Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Planning & Target Achievement

  • Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Analyze sales trends, identify growth gaps, and develop action plans.
  • Monitor sales performance across towns, beats, and channels.

Team Leadership & Development

 Lead a team of Sales Executives/Senior Sales Executives.

 Provide training, guidance, and on-ground support to improve team productivity.

 Conduct periodic performance reviews and sales meetings.

Channel & Distribution Management

 Appoint and manage distributors, stockists, and sub-stockists.

 Monitor distributor ROI, claims, stocks, and credit control.

 Ensure timely order processing, billing, and market replenishment.

Retail Execution & Market Development

Promotions & Trade Marketing

  • Execute trade schemes, promotional activities, and new product launches.
  • Track effectiveness of schemes and provide feedback to marketing.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and counter-strategies.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit regular sales reports, market feedback, and field updates.
  • Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and finance for smooth operations.
  • Ensure accurate MIS reporting through CRM/DMS systems.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of FMCG channel dynamics (GT, MT, wholesale)
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and trade relationship-building
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making
  • Proficient in MS Excel, sales software, and reporting tools
  • Local market knowledge is essential

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduation in Business, Marketing, or any relevant field
  • MBA/PGDM preferred (not mandatory)
