Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned territory through dealer & distributor management, channel development, secondary sales monitoring, and execution of marketing & promotional activities. The role requires strong knowledge of solar products such as inverters, batteries, and solar panels.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for inverters, batteries, and solar panels.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned region.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure consistent business from the channel network.

2. Dealer & Distributor Management

  • Appoint, develop, and manage dealers and distributors in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with channel partners and resolve their issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely order booking, payments, and stock availability at distributor points.

3. Channel Development

  • Identify new markets and potential channel partners to expand business.
  • Conduct regular market visits to evaluate channel performance.
  • Train and support dealers/distributors on product knowledge, selling skills, and schemes.

4. Marketing & Promotion

  • Plan and execute local marketing activities such as product demos, roadshows, and promotional campaigns.
  • Implement company schemes, offers, and marketing plans at the ground level.
  • Gather market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and market trends.

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with end customers, installers, and influencers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through coordination with service and support teams.
  • Handle escalations and provide solutions in coordination with HO/Service team.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and market analysis.
  • Track sales pipelines, visits, and activity reports using CRM tools (if applicable).
  • Report competitor activities and territory insights to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Education:

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate

Experience:

  • 2–6 years of experience in solar industry / power electronics / inverter & battery sales.
  • Strong experience in dealer–distributor management & channel sales.

Skills Required:

  • Good communication & negotiation skills
  • Strong market understanding
  • Expertise in channel development
  • Ability to handle pressure & meet targets
  • Knowledge of solar/inverter/battery products
  • Basic MS Excel & reporting skills

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
