Job Description To perform inspection activities and provide technology support for asset monitoring and assuring asset integrity in order to achieve optimal refinery & petrochemical performance to satisfy plan requirements and long-term health and capability of the assets within the design standards and statutory regulations pertaining to process equipment and piping systems in refinery & petrochemical units for operational safety and reliability. Responsibilities ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities ACTIVITIES QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Systems, Policies & Procedures: To lead and direct the development and improvement of systems through which the mechanical integrity of the refinery & petrochemical units is assured through risk based inspection methodology IN ORDER TO create a management framework with the capability to achieve targeted gross margin performance. Implement systems, procedures and policies for executing Inspections effectively and efficiently through Meridium To monitor the health condition of individual piece of static Equipment and recommend timely action including up gradation for assuring asset integrity. Fully Utilise infrastructure & resources. To implement corrosion management program. Planning & Budgeting: To prepare Annual Plan & Budget for performance of Inspection functions in refinery & petrochemical areas by liasoning with key stakeholders to collect inputs, assess them and consolidate them IN ORDER TO define a asset integrity plan that satisfies short and long term business goals. Estimate and plan resource requirement for inspection activities in their respective refinery & petrochemical units. Co-ordinate with concerned agencies for resource requirements of inspection consumables, instruments spares, services of external inspection and consulting agencies necessary for their respective refinery & petrochemical units. Prepare estimates for statutory fees payment Prepare budget estimate for area and monitor the expenses on regular basis against the approved budget. Management : To implement measurement, review and decision making processes for the department's systems , policies, and procedures IN ORDER TO ensure they achieve targeted outcomes in units as efficiently as possible while at all times complying with design & inspection standards. Implement measurement and review department's systems ,policies, and procedures Developing corrosion monitoring systems and reporting procedures. Implement equipment history record procedures in Meridium. Resolving individual/departmental grievances MIS: Inspection Related To provide timely inputs so that the right information is reviewed by the right people IN ORDER TO enable timely decision making to achieve the business's targets. Provide inputs/information for their respective refinery & petrochemical units for the various levels of MIS as defined from time to time. Technical evaluation of vendors / Inspection agencies. Highlighting the critical issues related to equipment integrity for MIS reporting. Inspection Support : To provide continuous inspection support for ensuring availability of their respective refinery & petrochemical units process equipment and systems To ensure continuous inspection support to achieve 100 % throughput target of their respective refinery & petrochemical units. To co-ordinate with other depts. such as maintenance, process and operation to resolve the hold points To provide pre-commissioning & commissioning support to operation group. To accomplish online inspection of their respective refinery & petrochemical units process equipment and systems. ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM "Systems, Policies & Procedures: To be accountable for implementation and improvement of the EMS systems, procedures & policies in respective functional operations. To ensure adherence to the all health, safety, and environment systems during all field activities General awareness on Environment Management in refinery & petrochemical Operations Implementation of environment management procedures like Hazardous / Non Hazardous waste management. OHSMS HSEF - Care & Welfare: To lead the effective implementation of all HSEF procedures pertinent to their area of accountability and champion the use of the tenets of operational excellence by applying them to all activities IN ORDER TO achieve a safe and healthy work place. Authority: To stop any unsafe job in plant area Implement safety tenets by applying them to all Inspection activities Ensure proper safety training for all staff and contract workmen. To conduct periodic safety audit as per schedule. Implement all safety audit recommendation in executing inspection activities. EnMS 50001:2018 Energy Management systems ISO 50001:2018 Awareness about Energy policy, significant energy uses, Energy objectives and Energy Management System (EnMS) Qualifications B.E (Mechanical/Metallurgy) ASNT Level-II certification in RT, UT, MPT, DPT & VT and API-570, API-510, API-653 and AWS –Welding Inspector are more preferable.
