Job Description SUMMARY The DnA Data Analyst provides analytics and decision support at a corporate level supporting the executive staff as well as the broader finance community. The Data Analyst will be on a team responsible for a shared reporting & analytics infrastructure as well as directly providing reporting, analysis, and insight to the executive teams based on that infrastructure. The successful candidate will be able to leverage a variety of tools & analytical capabilities to support analysis across different functional areas of the business and their impacts to overall company financial performance. The candidate will need to gather/develop the required datasets, apply a variety of techniques to analyze/test business hypotheses, and then summarize back the findings (with clear data/method driven substantiation). Essential Duties And Responsibilities Access and Integrate information/data from a variety of sources and bring it together into a structured environment for analytics and reporting Develop, maintain, and tune varying complex databases to ensure availability and integrity of data Automate integrations between data sources and processes to expedite availability of information, consistency in results, and minimize the cost structure to support the environment Perform and document detailed root cause analyses. Work across multiple databases to investigate and isolate issues in the code base and outlier data affecting key performance metrics. Develop and automate the delivery of standardized reporting to be used in Executive level presentations or distributed via email/mobile to end users Employ a variety of analytical techniques to discover, identify, and conclude analysis both reactively to leadership requests and proactively based on our own curiosity/desire to move the business Define and document core business metrics, definitions, and logic collaborating with the business teams Deliver analysis and findings to leadership and business teams…often through formal presentation Maintain knowledge and stays current of developments in the fields of technology, business intelligence, data warehousing, data science, and emerging technologies (machine learning, AI, etc.) Technical Qualifications Ability to extract and integrate data leveraging technologies such as (SQL, Snowflake, ODBC, ETL Tools, Oracle, DB2, MS Access). Familiarity with reporting / analytical apps such as (Oracle BI, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Cognos, Bus Objects) Ability to automate reporting/analysis as well as operational processes (Python, R) Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and the Finance/IT/Business teams Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the audience is often executive level staff and the decisions being made are significant in scope/impact Creativity and vision to recommend ways to evolve our infrastructure, process, and analytic capabilities EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business or related required (Masters in Analytics or Mathematics a plus); and 2-5 years of systems / business analysis experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
