Job Overview

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance with regulatory standards, and timely financial reporting. This role involves managing the accounts team, optimizing workflows, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledgers, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.)
• Manage cash flow planning and budgeting activities
• Monitor and improve internal financial controls and accounting processes
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping as per company and legal standards
• Support senior management with financial planning and forecasts
• Review payroll processing and employee reimbursements
• Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team
• Manage vendor and client financial communication and reconciliation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist in financial decision-making

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, or equivalent)
• Professional certifications (CA, CMA, ACCA) preferred
• Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation laws
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• High level of integrity and attention to detail

Work Environment

• Full-time role in office / hybrid depending on company policy
• Occasional extended hours during audit or month-end closing

Salary Range
